Teacher:

Kaitlin Esche-Lyon

During this workshop we will be creating quilted sneakers. Everyone will come to class with a Fat Quarter (18” x 22”) sized quilted panel. During the first session we will be using shoe making templates to trace the pattern, cut our pieces, bind or face our pieces. Then we will start adding our eyelets and sewing our toe pieces to a sole board. During the second session, we will be gluing and sewing our quilted pieces to rubber soles.
A shoe kit will be provided for each student. To ensure your exact shoe size please email Kaitlin, quarterlifeleap@gmail.com, your shoe size (men’s or women’s) & sole color choice (White or Black) at least TWO weeks before the first session.
*This is an intermediate workshop; students will be required to quilt their panel prior to class.
