Our store is more than just a showroom—it’s a hub for inspiration, learning, and craftsmanship. We offer a curated selection of sewing machines, fabric, notions, and expert classes, alongside professional service and repairs. As a Sales Associate, you’ll help customers discover new possibilities in sewing, quilting, and embroidery while ensuring every visitor receives expert guidance and support.
Your Role
- Assist customers in selecting Bernina and bernette sewing machines, accessories, and notions tailored to their creative needs
- Provide expert product demonstrations, showcasing how Bernina and bernette machines elevate craftsmanship
- Cut and measure fabric with precision, ensuring accuracy in customer purchases
- Maintain a beautiful sales floor, including organizing fabric displays and sewing notions
- Process machine check-ins for service and repairs, explaining maintenance and turnaround times
- Support in scheduling and promoting sewing, quilting, and embroidery classes
- Troubleshoot customer inquiries and recommend solutions that keep their projects moving forward
- Work closely with team members to achieve sales goals and foster a welcoming, creative atmosphere
What You Bring
- A passion for sewing, quilting, embroidery, or textile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and educate customers on creative possibilities
- Attention to detail, especially when cutting fabric and managing inventory
- Basic computer skills for processing transactions and checking machines in for service
- Comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment with hands-on customer engagement
- Weekend Availability
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
Preferred Experience
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience
- Familiarity with sewing machines, fabrics, and accessories
- Experience with sewing, crafting, or quilting
